Category killer

Category killer refers to a giant specialty store that carries a very deep assortment of a particular line and is staffed by knowledgeable employees (e,g., Best Buy, Home Depot, and Pet Smart). Category killers are prevalent  in a wide range of categories, including electronics, home-improvement products, books, baby gear, toys, lines and towels party goods, sporting goods, and even pet supplies.
