No-par value stock

No-par value stock is capital stock that has not been assigned a value in the corporate charter.

No-par value stock is quite common today. For example, Nike, Procter & Gamble, and North American Ban Lines al have no-par stock. In many states the board of directors assigns a stated value to no-par shares.
