Company mission
Whether a firm is developing a new business or reformulating direction for an ongoing business, it must determine the basic goals and philosophies that will shape its strategic posture. It describes the firm’s product, market, and Technological areas of emphasis, and it does so in a way that reflects the values and priorities of the firm’s strategic decision makers
This fundamental purpose that sets a firm/company apart from other firm of its type and identifies the scope of its operations in product and market terms is defined as the company mission.
