Network organization
Another structural option for managers who want to minimize or eliminate organizational boundaries is a network organization, in which a company uses its own employees to do some work activities and uses networks of outside suppliers to provide other needed product components or work process. This organizational form is sometimes called a modular organization among manufacturing firms.
